FTI Consulting Appoints Longtime Fintech Industry General Counsel as Managing Director in the Blockchain and Digital Assets Practice

Washington, D.C., Nov. 7, 2023 — FTI Consulting, Inc. (NYSE: FCN) today announced that the firm’s Technology segment appointed David H. Brill as a Managing Director within the Blockchain and Digital Assets practice to support advisory and investigations services for clients engaging in the digital assets industry.

Mr. Brill, who is based in Miami, is a technology and financial services executive and attorney with a long history of contributing to major milestones in the development of the digital assets space. He provides clients expert advice on regulatory matters and tactical guidance for implementing blockchain-based projects. His background includes serving as a general counsel in the fintech industry, and his expertise encompasses a wide array of areas, including strategic planning, operations, compliance, enterprise risk management, merger integration and fintech and securities law issues. Mr. Brill is also well versed in addressing complex regulatory and litigation matters for international organizations and startups.

Prior to joining FTI Technology, Mr. Brill served as the deputy general counsel at a large, publicly traded cryptocurrency platform. In this role, he co-led the digital asset listing program and was the lead attorney on all cryptocurrency and commercial matters. He has more than a decade of experience in general counsel roles within the financial and fintech sectors, along with more than 10 years of in-house leadership in these industries. Mr. Brill facilitated the listing of Ethereum on one of the first regulated digital asset exchanges and contributed to the development of the initial exchange-traded fund filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.
