The Future of Legal AI

While generative AI has seen a surge of interest in the legal field since the emergence of ChatGPT in late 2022, AI isn’t exactly new in the realm of technologies used in legal and compliance use cases. In fact, many earlier forms of AI have been used in legal and investigations in earnest for more than a decade. As lawyers look to adopt the newest generative AI capabilities, they must do so with an understanding of other AI applications that may (at least for the time being) be more reliable, defensible, flexible, scalable and cost-effective.
