Solving Complex Investigations Using Advanced Technology
Our multi-disciplinary team of specialist investigators, forensic accountants, data analysts, and computer forensic experts undertake investigations involving corporate fraud, whistle blowing, employee negligence, white-collar crime, bribery, and corruption allegations. We offer the right platform to dramatically improve the speed and accuracy of review, while providing a predictable process and reduced costs across e-discovery projects.
With speed, efficiency and defensibility, FTI Consulting applies a systematic approach to collecting electronic data across the globe without the need for physical deployment. Using custom and industry-standard tools, our experienced data collection specialists maintain the forensic integrity, defensibility and security of data throughout supported by full chain of custody tracking.
In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, FTI Technology’s award-winning managed review service is now available through a secure, virtual environment.
FTI Investigate: Mobile Software and Services Solution
Investigations can range widely—from whistle blower allegations, government inquiries and subpoenas, to corporate due diligence, potential Foreign Corrupt Practices Act (FCPA) violations, and financial fraud. Often, the only consistent requirements across investigations are short time frames and an urgent need to keep sensitive data secure. Add in any number of common variables, such as foreign and local data privacy laws to high data volumes, and corporations face significant challenges executing internal investigations in a defensible manner.
Mergers, Acquisitions and Divestitures
Merging companies can reduce the cost and risk of consolidating organisational data by utilising FTI Technology’s Information Governance, Privacy & Security (IGP&S) and Contract Intelligence services. Companies know that legacy computer systems, archives and contracts often contain historic and confidential data which is critical to ongoing operations, pending litigations, and regulatory requirements. This data often contains personally identifiable information (PII) for both employees and customers.
Confronting Data Risk with Expertise and Innovation
Amid an exponentially expanding universe of data, organisations are grappling with how to root out fraud, maintain regulatory compliance, protect sensitive information and mitigate an ever-expanding landscape of risk.
Managing Contractual Risks During COVID-19
Contractual language plays a critical role for organisations rushing to understand shifting obligations and liability in response to COVID-19, yet many corporations lack an organised, centralised method to analyse and act on their diverse contract universe.
Privacy Breach Response and Analysis Services
Over 16 billion records, including credit card and other sensitive personal data have been compromised since 2019 with breaches on the rise. With increasingly strict privacy laws around the globe, companies face potentially ruinous penalties should they fail to comply. Failure to demonstrate and document precautions taken, as well as the way a company responds to a breach, will define its future and that of the management team. Data breaches require an immediate, decisive and multi-disciplinary response.
Whether it’s ransomware, business email compromise, a trusted insider, or a foreign actor, we provide complete cyber incident response solutions, including preparedness and response planning, incident response, analysis, identification, containment, eradication, mitigation, system refinements, and ancillary mission support functions.
Brainspace E-Discovery Services
FTI Technology offers e-discovery services backed by a market-leading technology stack to enable corporations, law firms and government agencies to effectively conduct legal review and investigations.

Money Laundering Prevention: Obligations for Financial Institutions
Money laundering risks are among the most significant risks in the financial markets. In a recent study, Transparency International estimated the volume of money laundering in Germany at up to €100 billion annually. In 2021, the police in Germany recorded 14,785 cases of money laundering, according to Statista. This was an increase of more than 5,000 from the previous year. The number of reports received by the Financial Intelligence Unit (FIU), the central office for financial transaction investigations, regarding suspected money laundering also doubled last year compared to 2020. Financial institutions are particularly affected by these trends. Effective money laundering prevention is the only way for them to protect against the risks of these criminal enterprises.

Data Subject Requests and the GDPR: Steps to Prepare
Citizens in the E.U. have the right to request information about the storage of their personal data (GDPR Article 15). Many make good use of it. Similarly, in the U.K., citizens can pursue a Data Subject Access Request (DSAR) under the U.K. Data Protection Act. These requests for information by data subjects, whether individuals, customers, suppliers or authorities, can cause companies great distress — unless they are prepared to respond to them fully, on time and in a manner that builds trust with customers, employees and partners.
