Bringing Lost Artwork Back to Life With Blockchain and AI Technology

AI Vanguard Art was founded to recreate previously destroyed masterpiece paintings, based on meticulous analysis of historical records, art documentation and advanced techniques. As the organization progressed with recreating the Titian Julius Caesar painting, the first of the Twelve Caesars lost in a fire at the Royal Alcázar of Madrid in 1734, its founders engaged FTI Technology’s Blockchain & Digital Assets experts to support the project with blockchain infrastructure and creation of a non-fungible token for the artworks.

Our Role

FTI Technology’s Blockchain & Digital Assets team was engaged in the early stages of AI Vanguard Art’s work to resurrect the first of the Twelve Caesars, to provide technical development and advisory. The work included:

  • Education and guidance to the AI Vanguard Art in selecting and designing the necessary blockchain components to support the organization’s unique needs.
  • Support in establishing infrastructure for security and provenance for the artworks’ records of origin, ownership and transaction history.
  • Creation of smart contracts to enable traceability and tokenization.
  • Establishment of NFTs and digital copies for art enthusiasts and collectors to verify their ownership of one-of-a-kind artwork.
