MORNING SESSION
8:00-8:30 AM: Breakfast and Networking. Complimentary breakfast will be provided
8:30-9:00 AM: An Introduction to the Ringtail Discovery, Production, and Investigation Software. In this session, we will introduce users to the Ringtail eDiscovery platform. Find out how to use Ringtail to handle paper discovery and disclosure to perform objective and subjective coding, find gaps in collection or disclosure sets, and group similar types or documents. This course will also cover email review and demonstrate how Ringtail helps identify facts, trends and hot documents in an email set. You’ll learn about the many alternatives Ringtail provides to linear review, (the practice of reviewing each document one-by-one) such as clustering, analytics and predictive coding. 9:00-10:00 AM: How to Solve the Challenges of Privilege Review Using Ringtail. Learn how Ringtail can save you hours of time and effort during your privilege review. By using strategies within Ringtail including marking, batching, reporting, and quality checking of privileged and confidential information, you can automate the identification and withholding of confidential and privileged documents during the disclosure process. Our expert has managed thousands of Ringtail files and privilege reviews, and is ready to show you advanced tips and tricks.
10:00-10:30 AM: Coffee Break
10:30-11:00 AM: Case Studies - Enlightenment using Ringtail for Electronic Discovery. Ringtail is a desktop tool for legal practitioners rather than complicated software reserved for technicians and experts. Your peers in the Canadian government will spend this session illustrating the practicality of Ringtail by showing how they have used Ringtail on actual files to great success. The session will include pragmatic information on how to launch a new file in Ringtail from setup to training to ongoing support. You’ll leave armed with knowledge you can apply to your next file!
11:00 AM -12:00 PM: Finding Facts Fast. A How-To Guide for Smarter eDiscovery. For lawyers, the goal in document review is often to find the important case facts as quickly as possible, whether the project involves detecting fraudulent activity, determining whether or how to dispose of a file or planning case strategy. In this session, we will explore ways to help foster communication and collaboration by leveraging your technical or legal knowledge.
3:00-3:30 PM: Coffee Break
3:30-4:30 PM: Becoming a Trusted Advisor II: Proactive File Management for Ringtail. A trusted advisor is a planner, strategist and documenter. He or she builds and documents the blueprint for how a file will proceed. This includes the kick-off call, regular meetings and communication, and documenting the processes. Learn from our FTI expert who has managed hundreds of complex files in Canada and the US.
