The results of the 2025 LDO survey show that while the legal operations function is maturing, the responsibilities that fall to this role continue to grow. A majority of survey participants noted that they are involved in technology management, intake and triage, process improvement, outside counsel management, vendor governance, reporting and knowledge management, among others. In addition, legal operators now face a new challenge as automation and generative AI continue to reshape enterprise operations.
